Warez is like crack, its illegal and you have to have connections. Without the connections you're more or less bound to get a grand total of 6783 viruses from the first place you look.
Don't do it.

Camtasia will let you record without a watermark during the trial period, but it eats cpu for breakfast so don't expect good fps.

It's still in beta but I've had no problems with it so far. It takes up fewer system resources than FRAPS and the movie files it outputs can pre-compressed if you want them to be, so you don't end up with gigabytes of footage by accident.

Check it out.

Wow that looks really good. I'm going to try it out now!
EDIT: NIce program. My video sizes are coming out kinda big though. Is 100 MB too big for a 2 min file? any1 know how to resize it?

I will put in another mention of Xfire. Its beta capture feature performs very well so far, but games seem to not want to shut down properly after using it.

100mb sounds just slightly higher than FRAPS. From using FRAPS to record Halo games, a standard match of about 10-15mins resulted in a filesize that was a couple of gigs.

Yeah, I tried that program out and either I forgot to turn my graphics back up or it doesn't capture that well.
A 28 second video was 37 MB.

I posted the WeGame link on another forum and the Community Manager popped in to listen to our opinions on the program and such, which was pretty suprising.
From some experimenting, WeGame seems to be a very nice program to record with, although it lacks some advanced recording options, they are likely to be implemented in later releases.
Recoding quality is decent and can be increased with the HD option. File size on the default recording options is also quite small.

Hail XFire! Seriously. It's a brilliant gaming messenger alone that now has video in beta stages. Just throwing out the XFire love.

Warez is still a place where trojans are distributed. I personally would NOT download warez for security reasons, the cost of a problem will greatly outweight the benefits.
It's nice to see free alternatives like WeGame and CamStudio.

Just curious. Anyone tried Taksi? It's advertised as free open source fraps alternative.
